Please join me and other Catholic bloggers at Conversion Diary for 7 Quick Takes Friday.
It’s been a whirlwind two weeks with visiting family in New Jersey, then helping to organize the Catholic Writers Conference Live (held in conjunction with the Catholic Marketing Network Trade Show) in Somerset, NJ. I gave three presentations, organized the CWG Booth and basically spent 16 hours a day on my feet. It was a great two weeks, but understandably, I’m exhausted. I met many new people and connected with long-time friends. More on the conference and trade show in upcoming posts.
1. Cool Odometer Reading (again, it’s kilometers, not miles)
2. Famous Philly Water Ice Place
Special thanks to my cousin for treating me to some delicious water ice.
3. Lucy the Elephant, Margate NJ
When I was a child and my family visited Margate, NJ, I was always in awe of the giant elephant, Lucy. Back in the 60’s, however, it was in disrepair. Thankfully, in the 1970’s, it was restored and, since then, it has been a popular attraction in the seaside town.
4. View from the Top of Lucy
5. EWTN Live Radio Interview at the CMN
For me, one of the highlights of the Catholic Marketing Network Trade Show was being interviewed live on EWTN radio:
6. Reading Shelf
My reading/review shelf now has an additional 40 books, thanks to the publishers who gave away books at the Catholic Marketing Network’s “Author Reception” and various author signings throughout the Trade Show. Here are two of the best books that I received and will be reviewing in upcoming posts:
Treason by Dena Hunt (Outstanding Catholic novel! Review coming soon!)
The Miraculous Medal: Stories, Prayers and Devotions by Donna-Marie Cooper O’Boyle
7. EWTN Bookmark
I was interviewed briefly again by Doug Keck for EWTN’s Bookmark and I spoke about the Catholic Writers Guild’s Seal of Approval process.

Oooh, a stack of books. That’s fun! That picture of the elephant (and FROM the elephant) is really fun, too.
Sounds like you had a great time! It looks like a mix of leisure and work.

You worked hard but it sounds like the conference was fun. How cool to be interviewed for EWTN.
Love that picture of the elephant! It sounds like the conference was a resounding a success and all your hard work paid off. 🙂
